About the Artist

Carolina Danu is an interdisciplinary artist working primarily in painting, ceramics, and printmaking focusing on themes of memory and home. She practices between Ventura County and San Diego, California. Danu is currently an MFA candidate in Painting and Printmaking at San Diego State University’s School of Art & Design. Danu earned her BA in Studio Arts with an emphasis in painting and ceramics from CSU Channel Islands in 2022, graduating summa cum laude and with department honors. She currently lives and works in San Diego, CA. Her work has been exhibited at venues such as the Santa Paula Art Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara, the Athenaeum Music and Arts Library in La Jolla, and the Athenaeum Arts Center. Recently, Danu received the President’s Award in the SDSU Student Awards Exhibition and was also selected for the 20th Annual Arts SDSU Council Scholarship Exhibition.
